Welcome to our tour program in Michoacán, Mexico!
Join us for a seventeen-day journey to explore the rich cultural heritage, culinary delights, and natural wonders of the region.
Our itinerary includes visits to historic sites such as the Morelia City and Templo de Santiago de Tupátaro, a Spanish class to brush up your language skills, vegan mexican cooking classes, and tasting local delicacies.
We will also experience the Day of the Dead celebrations, engage in interactive activities to learn about the art of copper making, enjoy a mezcal tasting experience, horseback ride to the ruins of the church of San Juan, and visit Tingambato archaeological site.
We will swim in different lakes, watch mariachis and other performances and much, much more!

Day 2 - 29/10/24
Begin your day with a tour of Morelia visiting all the main Landmarks in the city center.
In the afternoon/evening enjoy the vast array of different Day of the Dead decorations as well as the local events
Day 3 - 30/10/24
Visit the famous Sanctuario de Nuestra Senora de Guadelupe and Ex Convento de San Diego.
In the afternoon go to a Spanish class and Mexican vegan food cooking class and early vegan dinner. (Hosted by senior students and teachers of a Local Orphanage).
End the day with a walk through the Day of the Dead night life in Morelia.
Day 4 - 31/10/24
Start your day with a tour of the town of Tupataro.
Visit the "Sistine Chapel of the Americas" the Temple of Santiago de Tupátaro.
Later in the day visit the unique ancient Pyramid city of Tzintzuntzan, as well as the extremely diverse local markets of Tzinztuntzan.
Return to Morelia for the evening festivities.
Day 5 - 01/11/24
Begin with a tour of Capula, a town famous for its production of pottery and clay figurines called "Katrinas".
Then move on to another local town called - Santa Fe de la Laguna which is famous for its tradition of making altars inside of its houses and opening their doors for all to come and see.
While there, visit the "House of Mama Coco", the real life inspiration for the Grandmother of Miguel in the world famous cartoon "Coco".
Continue your day by visiting the Unique local Cemetery of Tzintzuntzan, where the main celebrations of the Day of The Dead happen. Throughout the night it is filled with families of Loved ones who have passed away, and many different musicians.
Continue by visiting another local cemetery of the
Isla de Pacanda.

Day 1 - 28/10/24
Day 6 - 02/11/24
Start your day with a tour through the unique town of Santa Clara del Cobre where copper has been the towns special talent for centuries.
Here, You will also have the opportunity to attend a copper workshop in the town.
Later move on to the historic town of Patzcuaro and Explore it with a tour guide. Check into your hotel and spend a night in Patzcuaro.
Day 7 - 03/11/24
Take a boat to the picturesque island of Janitzio. The island is also home to the impressive statue of "José María Morelos" which is a whooping 39 meters tall. After the island move onto a Mezcal tasting Experience in the town of Oponguio.
In the evening return to Patzcuaro for the evening festivities.
Day 8 - 04/11/24
In the morning Transfer to the city of Uruapan for a tour of the city.
Some highlights of the city include the main Church, the Morelos plaza and the Indigenous peoples museum.
Spend the night in a hotel in Uruapan.
Day 9 - 05/11/24
Go for a tour of the city of Zamora for the majestic, Gothic style Zamora Cathedral.
That stands at an astonishing 107.5 meters. Making it the tallest cathedral in Mexico.
After the visit to the cathedral relax in the nearby Camecuaro lake. Return to Uruapan to spend the night there.
Day 10 - 06/11/24
Take a tour of the town of Paracho famous for its Guitar production techniques.
Later on Move to the Unique town of Angahuan Located next to the Paricutin Volcano.
Take a unique horse-riding tour to the ruins of Parangaricutiro which are now covered by a Lava field, While there visit the Historic ruins of the San Juan Church.
Return to Uruapan for the night.
Day 11 - 07/11/24
Visit the Ancient city of Tingambato with it's archaeological site that has all of its temples and pyramids.
Later on move onto the National park of "Barrancas del Cupatzio".
Spend the night in Uruapan.
Day 12 - 08/11/24
Start a day with a trip to the historic city of Cuitzeo, some of its highlights are the convent, gardens and market.
In the afternoon transfer back to Morelia for the evening festivities. Spend the night in Morelia.
Day 13 - 09/11/24
Take a Road trip to the Hot springs of Los Azufres to bathe in the Springs and marvel at the Landscapes.
Return to Morelia for the night.
Day 14 - 10/11/24
Visit the very Merry town of Tlalpujahua and experience It's Christmas magic...
The town of Tlalpujahua is famous throughout the entire region due to its production of Christmas Decorations.
Return to Morelia for the night.
Day 15 - 11/11/24
Take a Road trip to the mountains of Michoacan where you will discover the world famous Monarch butterfly Reserve of Michoacan where you can see millions of Butterflies everyday.
Return to Morelia for the night.
Day 16 - 12/11/24
Take a day off to explore Morelia one last time.
Experience an amazing farewell dinner with an authentic Mexican Mariachi band. (meals and drinks not included)
Day 17 - 13/11/24
Transfer to Morelia Airport or Morelia Bus station.

Program May Slightly Vary During The Day of The Dead Week Due to New Events,Heavy Traffic etc.
The Spanish class will by taught by a school managed by a local orphanage.
The vegan mexican cooking class will be provided by a vegan restaurant run by the oldest students of the local orphanage. You will meet less fortunate, but Joyful Mexican kids, and an outstanding woman who organised and leads this private orphanage, and who became Mama for all kids under her care. You will see authentic Mexican kindness and strength, and make life time friendships.
